    The True Story

    The True Story

Every guitar has a story. So does the person who builds it.

    Where It All Began

Gus K didn't set out to build guitars — he set out to play them. Like so many musicians, he fell in love with the instrument first, and the obsession with how they were made came later. After years of playing, gigging, and tinkering, Gus realized that the guitars he truly wanted didn't exist at a price he could justify — and that if he wanted something built right, he'd have to build it himself.

    That realization changed everything.

    Learning the Craft

Gus spent years studying the anatomy of great guitars — what made a vintage Les Paul sing, why certain neck profiles felt alive in your hands, how the choice of wood affected sustain and resonance in ways that couldn't be faked. He learned by doing: building, failing, refining, and building again. Every mistake was a lesson. Every finished instrument was proof that the process worked.

Over time, word spread. Friends wanted guitars. Friends of friends wanted guitars. And Guerilla Guitars was born — not from a business plan, but from a genuine passion for the craft.

    20+ Years of Building

Today, Gus K brings more than two decades of hands-on experience to every instrument that leaves the Saint-Eustache workshop. That experience shows up in the details: the way a neck is shaped to feel natural after hours of playing, the way a finish is applied in layers to protect and enhance the wood beneath, the way every fret is leveled and crowned by hand before a guitar ships.

This isn't production-line work. It never has been.

    Why Custom?

Mass-produced guitars are built to a price point. Custom guitars are built to a player. When you order a Guerilla guitar, Gus isn't pulling a spec sheet off a shelf — he's listening to what you play, how you play it, and what you've never been able to find in a store-bought instrument. Then he builds it.

That's the difference. And that's the story.

"I build guitars because I love them. Every one that leaves this shop has to be something I'd be proud to play myself."
    — Gus K, Master Builder
